Todd D. Bowlus

Todd D. BowlusTodd Bowlus grew up in Whitaker Borough, just outside of Pittsburgh. He attended Pittsburgh’s famed Central Catholic High School before being drafted to play hockey in the North American Hockey League, where he played for three years in the US and Canada. Mr. Bowlus resumed his academic study at The State University of New York at Fredonia and then received his law degree from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2002.

Having joined the firm in April 2003, Mr. Bowlus quickly acquired the specialized knowledge required in the intricate pleading stage of medical malpractice litigation. As such, he has become an expert in various new statutory schemes in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Mr. Bowlus also has extensive experience conducting discovery, drafting and arguing various motions, and working with fact and expert witnesses.  He also heads the firm’s screening procedures, along with the firm’s medical personnel.

In 2008, Mr. Bowlus was named in a survey of his peers as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine.  Rising Stars are selected based on nominations by members of the elite Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list.  This distinction was given to less than 2.5% of all lawyers in Pennsylvania. 

Mr. Bowlus resides in the South Hills with his wife, Jodi, their daughter, Cameron, and son, Tyler.  He is a member of St. Rita’s Parish in Munhall.
