Our firm has done plaintiff medical malpractice cases for twenty years, concentrating almost exclusively on these cases for over a decade.
We will leave no stone unturned in our quest to find the most qualified expert to answer the medical questions unique to your client’s case. We spend hundreds of hours each year reviewing medical literature, identifying medical experts in many specialties and researching those same experts to insure that they are truly qualified and will testify well. We have developed a large database of reliable experts we have used and cross examined and we maintain contact with readily available experts available to review new cases.
Rely on our experience and knowledge to ask the right questions of the right expert at the right time in the life of each case.
As a rule, we use only out-of-state experts to review cases or prepare for trial because local physicians are always at risk of being “turned” or “black-balled” by peer pressure. We do not use “friends” or local physicians for confidential reviews. Local physicians generally refuse to testify in court rendering the case without a needed expert late in the life of a case.
We have extensive experience litigating and lecturing on the new “Certificate of Merit” rules for Pennsylvania and the expert rules peculiar to West Virginia and Ohio. Let us navigate the maze of those experts that are qualified to testify in certain states and those that are not.
Approximately one quarter of the successful cases on our results pages came to us as a referral and resulted in fees for the referring attorneys.
